The Adventurers Druid Class Guide
Nature spirits, HoTs, and DoTs — an energy-hungry summoner, not a shapeshifter.
Druid is a nature DoT, HoT, and spirit summoner in The Adventurers. It is not a shapeshifter. There is no wild-shape form, no bear tank button, and no “turn into a wolf” line in the Adventurer Guide. What you get instead is Warm Embrace, a ladder of spirit summons from rat to yeti, and a combat bonus: increased energy recovered. That bonus exists because every spirit consumes Druid energy until combat ends. If you summon a wolf and a spider and then try to Blooming Renewal the whole party, the bar is the boss, not the goblin.
Druid is not on the default Paladin / Wizard / Cleric start. Custom can pick it immediately. Resolve is still energy (ten per point) and magic, including 1.0’s 25% magic damage on Resolve. Vitality is health at ten per point. You will want more Resolve than a Warrior ever looks at. Compare the other support seats on Support Comparison. Hex rules: combat. Rankings: tier list. Lineups: party comps.
Role and primary stats
Role: mid-line summoner, nature pressure, and secondary healing. You are not the premier healer — that is Cleric. You are not the hybrid frontliner — that is Paladin. You put a spirit on a hex, apply Poisoned Thorns or Wither, and keep Warm Embrace ticking. Spirit Of The Grove fully heals all other allies once per battle, which is a living-ally full restore like Cleric’s Celestial Heal, not a raise from death.
Primary stat: Resolve (energy, magic, and the pool your summons drink). Secondary: Vitality so you survive while the spirits occupy space. Tertiary: Agility only if you are tired of losing initiative before Rotting Vines lands. Strength is wasted.
Signature abilities by level
Default — Warm Embrace (Bonus). Places a small healing over time spell on an ally. This is your always-on HoT, cheaper than trying to be Cleric.
Level 2. Poisoned Thorns (Action) causes nature damage each turn and lowers the target’s healing received. Summon Rat Spirit (Action) summons a rat spirit that uses the Druid’s energy until the end of combat. Rotting Vines (Action) immobilizes an enemy and deals nature damage each turn. Early Druid is a choice: cheap rat body, or a root, or a heal-starve thorn. Do not summon the rat if you already know you need Vines this fight.
Level 4. Blooming Renewal (Bonus) channels a moderate healing over time on all allies and removes 1 debuff. Summon Spider Spirit (Action) summons a spider spirit that uses the Druid’s energy until the end of combat. Wither (Action) increases damage taken by 50% and deals low nature damage each turn. Wither is a party damage amp. Spider is the next energy tax. Blooming Renewal is the group HoT plus a single cleanse.
Level 6. Lifeweaver’s Touch (Bonus) places a large heal on an ally and increases healing. Summon Wolf Spirit (Action) summons a wolf spirit that uses the Druid’s energy until the end of combat. Corrupted Growth (Action) infects a target, decreasing their damage while dealing damage each turn. Wolf is the first spirit that feels like a real extra body. Growth is the anti-striker debuff. Touch is your big single heal when Cleric is busy.
Level 8. Roots Of Recovery (Bonus) roots an ally in place while greatly restoring health over time. Summon Werewolf Spirit (Action) summons a werewolf spirit that uses the Druid’s energy until the end of combat. Blightstorm (Action) is a storm of spores: damage each turn, increased damage taken, and 50% reduced damage dealt. Roots Of Recovery is a trade: the ally cannot walk, but they soak a huge HoT. Do not root the Thief. Blightstorm is your cluster debuff storm.
Level 10. Emerald Harmony (Action) channels a large healing over time on other allies in range and removes all debuffs. Summon Yeti Spirit (Action) summons a yeti spirit that uses the Druid’s energy until the end of combat. Spirit Of The Grove (Action) fully heals all other allies’ health once per battle. Yeti is the expensive endgame body. Grove is the once-per-fight full restore for living allies. Harmony is the group cleanse-and-HoT.
Positioning
Mid rank, where Warm Embrace and Blooming Renewal still reach Paladin, and where a spirit can stand on a side hex without blocking Archer’s Better Alone bubble. Summons are extra bodies — park them on flanks, not on top of Wizard Fireball tiles. Rotting Vines is an immobilize; use it on the runner walking at Cleric, not on the target Warrior already holds. Roots Of Recovery roots an ally: that is a Paladin or Warrior button, never a Thief button.
Party fit
Druid plus Cleric is HoT plus premier burst heal — redundant if the map is short, excellent if the map is a grind. Druid plus Paladin covers front rank while spirits fill sides. Druid plus Warlock is two energy-hungry summoners; you will fight your own bars unless both take Quick Breaths and Never Tired. Druid plus Warrior is simple: you Wither, they Reckless. Druid without any healer is possible because Grove and Harmony exist, but Grove is once per battle and does not raise the dead.
Druid is honest: flexible, expensive, and not a shapeshifter. If you wanted a second Warrior in animal form, hire Warrior. If you wanted a second Cleric, hire Cleric. If you wanted extra bodies that drink your Resolve, this is the nature version; Warlock is the unholy version.
General ability suggestions
Quick Breaths (double energy recovery) is close to mandatory. Never Tired so you can open a summon on turn one. Sanctified Core if you are also the HoT battery. Enduring Aura to stretch Warm Embrace and Blooming Renewal. Mental Toughness for magic resistance. Herbalist if this Druid is your harvester. Weapon Mastery Staff. Skip Two Hands Better Than One and Shield Mastery.
The Characters Hub lists all eight. If you are still deciding Druid versus Warlock, read Warlock next: same energy tax, different bodies, and a magic-resistance combat bonus instead of extra energy recovered.
