Updates Hub

The Adventurers spent twenty-one months in Early Access and shipped 1.0.0.0 on 31 August 2026. Eternal Vigilance Entertainment posted almost every change on Steam news and in a pinned patch-notes thread. This hub is a map of that history, not a paste of two thousand lines.

Read the roadmap for pitch versus shipped content. Read patch notes for 1.0.0.0 and the 9.7.x / 9.9.0 live slice. Class kits belong on characters and the tier list.

Timeline

11 November 2024 — Early Access. Three classes: Warrior, Archer, Thief. Hex combat, overworld, Town Hall contracts, permadeath already part of the loop. Steam app 3062500. Price $12.99.

December 2024 — Update 1 live. Resistances and weaknesses on creatures. Pierce weapons (bow and dagger) use Agility for damage instead of Strength. Search-style quests and more events to hit the published quota. Prerequisite quests that remember previous deeds.

Update 2 (announced, then pushed live). Plans listed Cleric, a dedicated death mechanic, weapon swapping, ten new general abilities, personalities, barbershop portraits, fort work, more items. The Steam post “Update 2 Now Live” (March 2025) confirms that bundle reached players. Cleric is therefore an Early Access class, not a 1.0 debut.

8.4.5 — Druid and Warlock. Patch notes add both classes with HoTs, spirits, leech, Dark Pact, and two summon families. Combat tooltips start saying bonus versus full action. Still Early Access.

Paladin. Added on beta (late March 2025 news: Paladin added) and moved live in the “Paladin live” post (April 2025). The January 2026 developer class list already names all eight: Archer, Cleric, Druid, Paladin, Thief, Warrior, Wizard, Warlock. Do not write that Paladin “launched in 1.0.”

9.5.x era — crises. 2026 news posts roll named world crises (Crown of Ash, Iron Covenant, Shattered Veil, Silent Concord, Gilded Eclipse, Verdant Reckoning) plus a crisis framework. Enemy special abilities and smart targeting landed in January 2026 patches.

9.7.2 — blacksmith times. Rush orders become instant (+5 gold). Non-rush armor/weapons take 2 in-game hours; smelting takes 1. Fort blacksmith tooltip fixes follow.

9.7.3 — unstable 33%. Unstable platforms (mud, sand, snow) cut hit chance and damage 33%. Travel-map stop-movement and center hotkeys added in Settings.

9.7.4 — fog of war. Caves and night fights hide units until they are close. Exterior night still has extra view range (notes cite 250% additional viewing before it is too dark).

9.7.5 — social + FOW tuning. Social relationship bonuses +50%. Cave FOW visibility +50%; nighttime battles extra +20%.

9.7.7 — combat polish. Halberd default range 2. Twenty-plus flying creatures ignore difficult terrain. Summons grant XP to the summoner.

9.9.0 — 9 August 2026. Beta mod support: classes, creatures, items. Live still taking balance and icons.

1.0.0.0 — 31 August 2026. Full release. Forts stats and request economy, quest ending text, Agility block/parry nerf, Resolve magic buff, more mod surfaces, demo Early Access tag removed. Details on the patch notes page.

How to read versions

The studio often ships beta first, live a few days later. A Steam title like “Beta - Fog Of War, Live - Unstable Platforms” means two branches at once. If your in-game number is 9.7.3, you have unstable platforms and travel hotkeys; you might not have FOW until 9.7.4 live.

What 1.0 did not reset

Eight classes were already in the roster. Fog of war, blacksmith rush, crises, and the first mod hook were already in 9.7–9.9. 1.0 is a stamp plus forts/quests/balance/mods — not a new game with three mystery classes. The roadmap compares the 2024 pitch (5 extra classes, 500+ events, 200+ quests, 400+ items) to that reality.
